Jack Aron is the President at the Theta Upsilon chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. Though currently a music composition and music education double major, Jack is pursuing a minor in History, with a general focus in Medieval and Modern European history. Jack has committed time to historical research for UCSB EBBA and the UCSB Early Modern Center, and is interested in teaching U.S. or European History at the high school level. In addition to working with PAT, Jack served as the social chair for the UCLA cNAfME chapter 2018-19 and historian for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia’s Beta Psi Chapter.
Vice President & Editor-in-Chief
Jonathan Sameyah is the Vice President of UCLA’s Phi Alpha Theta chapter, Theta Epsilon, and editor-in-chief of the history department’s undergraduate journal, Quaestio. He is currently a fourth-year student pursuing a degree in History. His passion for a variety of different fields of history has led him to become an active board member of Phi Alpha Theta. Outside of history, Jonathan is currently in the process of applying to law school and will be attending next fall. This is his second year as a member of Phi Alpha Theta.
Treasurer & Membership Director
Cristian Walk is a forth-year transfer student who serves as the Treasurer and Membership Director for Theta Epsilon, UCLA’s Phi Alpha Theta chapter. He is double majoring in History and the Study of Religion. Cristian is part of the Honors College, History Honors Program, and serves as a member on the History Undergraduate Advisory Board. He is hoping to pursue a graduate degree in history and one day teach the subject he loves to community college students.
Secretary & PR Director
Max McNally is the Secretary and PR Director of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at UCLA. He is a fourth-year student double majoring in History and Communications. He is a member of the Honors College, works at UCLA’s Powell Library as a writing and research specialist, and has a passion for Ancient Roman and Byzantine History. Max hopes to continue to law school after graduating from UCLA to pursue a career in environmental law.
Amber Ow is the Social Chair of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at UCLA. She is a fourth-year transfer student majoring in Gender Studies and minoring in History. She has a special interest in women’s history.
Social Media Director
Alec Lynch is a member of the Theta Upsilon chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society. He is a second year Global Studies Major with a Minor in History and an intended minor in African and Middle Eastern Studies as well. In addition to being a member of PAT, Alec is involved in the Bruin Leaders Project on campus, an organization that strives to help students harness necessary leadership skills for the workplace and for everyday life. Alec hopes to pursue Marketing after graduating college, but retains love for History as it has always been a subject of deep interest for him.
