Weekly Briefing (Wk. IV – WQ ’15): Professor Talk

It’s week fourWe’re sure you’re a bit fatigued—but there’s no need to feel downcast. Here’s our “almost-mid-quarter” gift to you:

Our first professor talk of the quarter with Prof. Carla Pestana!

This week, there will be pizza and there will be soda—coffee, if necessary. But considering Dr. Pestana’s accolades, we doubt caffeine will be necessary to keep your attention.

Her book, Protestant Empire: Religion and the Making of the British Atlantic World published by the University of Pennsylvania Press was released in its paperback edition in 2011. In this talk, Dr. Pestana will be reviewing her current research interests in the field of colonial American and Atlantic history.

Notes (Subject to Edits):

  • We’re meeting at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 in the History Reading Room at 5:30 PM. In the event of a deviation from this schedule, all changes will be broadcasted via our Facebook Group and Page, and via our Twitter.

  • Last week’s meeting was an extremely successful foray into reforming our current administrative structure—we discussed potential changes to our constitution and our by-laws. For meeting minutes, please click here.
